My new hobby.

So one of the things I want to do with my blog is keep track of my new hobby. But what is my new hobby, you say? I've started learning to play the electric guitar on my own. I think I have enough of a musical background through piano to understand what the hell is going on. Plus most music on the guitar is written in tab format. So basically if you know how to count frets and which string is which you should be able to figure it out.

My dad bought my brother a Schecter C-1+ and a Fender G-Dec Amp. However my brother stopped playing, so I been fooling around with it. My dad said if I kept playing that he would let me pick out a guitar. So I ended up choosing the new 2008 Fender American Standard Stratocaster. It's a really popular instrument, used by great guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson and Dick Dale.

I figured if these guys use a Stratocaster, it must be a really good guitar.

Here is some basic information on my guitars:

2008 Fender American Standard Stratocaster/ Candy Cola

As you can see I put a custom pick guard on it.

It has an body made of alder, a maple neck, 3 Alnico V noiseless Single Coil Pickups and has a Delta tone control for the bridge and Middle pickup. What that means is there is no load or filtering of the pickups tone when it is set to 10. It has chrome hardware and other than that its basically just a Stratocaster. $1059. These are well know for the exceptionally bright sound.

Schecter C-1 Plus /Black Cherry Flamed Maple Top

This is an interesting guitar, becuase for the price, $649, it is a high quality guitar. The body is made of mahogany, the through-neck is set with glue and is made of three pieces of mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. The top of the body is actually a piece of flamed maple, with a nice color. The inlays are abalone and look pretty cool. It has Seymour Duncan Designed humbucker pickups, but they are nothing special. The cool thing is that it has a coil splitter allowing me to set the guitar to a "single coil" configuration and has a three way switch. It also has a fatter deeper tone than my Stratocaster.

In terms of amps I have a Vox Valvetronix XL AD30VT 30watt Tube/SS Modelling Amp with a 12" speaker, a Fender Dyna-Touch III Stage 1000 100 watt SS Amp with a 12" Celestion speaker, and a Fender G-Dec.

And I been using my dad's distortion pedal, a DOD SupraDistortion FX55-B effects pedal.

Here is a pic of all my current gear:

Airsofting

One of my hobbies is Airsoft. When the fuck are we gonna go play again guys. We all have guns now. We should definitely go play.

Anyways, here is a breakdown of what I have:

Gear: I will add photos as I take them.

Camo: Chocolate Chip Desert Camo, Urban Camo. Both made by Propper.

Vest: Some UTG vest which holds 4 M4/16 magazines, a holster for a pistol and some holsters for pistol clips on the belt. It's in Desert Digital Camo. And I have a G&G Khaki bungee sling for my primary weapons.

Helmet: Not sure what's its based off of, just a black replica of what the US Army currently uses. Looks good with the Urban Camo Outfit, but I also have a Chocolate Chip cover for it.

Armory: I will add photos as I take them.

SMGs:
MP5- PDW
I currently own a Galaxy MP-5 PDW. It shoots around 320 fps, very good for indoor. Average rate of fire, average accuracy but I have only used .20g bb's and I have found out that .25 are overall more heavy, fly straighter and hurt more. Plastic. Not worth getting metal body anyways. No Trades.

Ammo:
I own two Tokyo Marui Double-Short Clips which hold around 200 rounds each and they look very bad ass on it. They have the fake metal bullets showing so it looks pretty tight. Metal.

Modifications:
I took off the plastic flash hider and currently using the stock M4 flash hider. I don't care about the realism of this, it looks much better than plastic.
Assault Rifles:
G36c
I also own a Echo 1 G36c. Shoots a consistant 333fps. Good rate of fire, I put a EG700 in it. Good accuracy. Body is made of plastic, however the real gun is also not made out of metal. No Trades.

Ammo: Just a single 300 round hicap. I want to get one with the fake bullets showing. Plastic. Real ones are composite materials as well.

Modifications:
I have bought the 2 rails that it didnt come with and added a laser sight on the left side of the weapon.

M4 Custom

This is my highly upgraded ICS M4 Assault Pistol. I don't remember the FPS. Awesome rate of fire, very good accuracy. Full Metal. Olympic Arms trades.

Ammo: 3 M4 300 round hicaps. I have Tan Magpuls attached. Metal.

Modifications:
I have a Madbull Gemtech G5 quick-detach Silencer, Echo1 Peq Box Battery holder, UTG Ergonomic Grip. King Arms Red Laser Mount w/ a SureFire C3 Centurion Torch. A G&G Aimpoint Replica with a Tan cover. A tan G&G Magpul Magwell. And I have added a custom stock with a Tan Bushmaster LE stock with a rubber buttpad.

Note: This motherfucker weighs like 15 pounds... or sure feels like it.

Pistols:
G18c
I don't remember the manufacturer. This is a gas powered weapon, full-automatic, semi-automatic pistol. I shoots around 300 fps, and with an insane ROF. Blowback action. Metal Slide. Plastic Grip. Just like the real thing. No Trades. Ammo: 2 22round gas clips. I would like to buy some 50rd clips soon. 50 bucks a piece however.

Modifications:
NONE.

That's my current setup. I will posts updates. However, WHEN THE FUCK WE GONNA PLAY.

Wow its been 2 years...

It's been two years since I have even used a blog. Time goes by pretty fast now a days. I got rid of my custom design becuase I get bored quickly, and if I just use a normal template, I won't complain about its simpicity.

I hope to track my musical progress on here, since I have recently gotten involved with playing the electric guitar.

I will also post whatever is new in my really boring life.

I hope you'll leave comments and suggestions so that I feel like someone actually reads this shit.

Here's to actually writing in my blog :P
